The perfume was inspired by the Soviet ballet The Red Poppy by Reinhold Gliere. David Garber was a student of the great perfumer Henri Brocard and in 1936 he was appointed to an important position - the technical director of the Novaya Zarya (New Dawn) factory, in fact he was the main perfumer of the enterprise.Wonderful miracle is that paper lablel is still there in good condition and even original piece of red rope. The size is: height 6 inches, 1 inches deep, 2. 6/8 inches wide. Below, you can read some of the history related. Immediately after the revolution in Russia in 1917, all perfume factories were nationalized and reoriented to the production of soap for the Red Army. All the former "bourgeois" factories received serial numbers and turned into soap factories. But with the advent of the NEP (New Economic Policy) in 1921, people's attitude towards perfumery began to change. All soap factories, eager to expand the range, united in Zhirkost trust (Fat and bone), better known as TeZhe. This is the reality: in the Soviet Union, the food, soap and cosmetic industries were firmly mixed. In the 1930s, the difficult revolutionary time was already behind us, a new elite had already formed, and it was time to smarten up. It was then that stores with the letters TEZHE appeared in Moscow and St. Petersburg. TEZHE produced everything needed for beauty and hygiene. The woman Polina Zhemchuzhina convinced the crazy dictator Stalin that the country needed more perfume industry. The daughter of a Jewish tailor, she was a staunch revolutionary, a member of underground organizations. At underground work, she met her future husband, Vyacheslav Molotov, one of the most important associates and supporters of Joseph Stalin. He held high leadership positions in Soviet Russia and the Soviet Union at various times. He is known for his negotiations with the German side before the start of the war. The Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact was a secret non-aggression agreement signed between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union on August 23, 1939, a week before the outbreak of World War II. But, oops, something went wrong, this happens in regimes. His name is associated with the period of brutal political regime and repressions characteristic of the Stalin era. Also her friend was Nadezhda Alliluyeva, Stalin's wife, who took her own life later. Polina Zhemchuzhina has a lot of district committees and regional committees on her track record, since 1930 she was in charge of the Krasnaya Zarya factory, and since 1936 she worked in the leadership of the People's Commissariat of the Food Industry of the USSR. Food, and therefore perfume. It is said that Polina Zhemchuzhina directly and clearly pointed out to Stalin that the perfume industry in the country was unsatisfactorily managed. Stalin assigned the supervision of TEZHE to her and also Anastas Mikoyan, who was a Soviet politician and one of Stalin's closest associates, as well as Minister of Foreign Trade and Minister of Supply at various times. Mikoyan is also known for his role during the Caribbean Crisis of 1962, when he played an important mediating role between the US and the USSR. Together with Polina Zhemchuzhina, Mikoyan taught beauty to Soviet citizens. Polina Zhemchuzhina herself acted as a promoter of beauty. Many publications of her speeches in Soviet newspapers have been preserved. Typical Soviet rhetoric. “A woman should always carefully monitor herself, her face and body, her nails, her hair. You can always grab a few minutes." And a small stone in the garden of the eternally "decaying" Western world: "We will make all the secrets of fashionable European salons, which are opened for bourgeois ladies for huge money, accessible to the Soviet woman."But, oops, again something went wrong, this happens under dictatorial regimes. The favor of leader Stalin is changeable. In 1949, Polina Zhemchuzhina was arrested for "many years of criminal association with Jewish nationalists." Confinement and torture followed. Upon returning, Polina retired from political and social activities You need to make sure that you know what you are buying. Please, don't blind buy, as I do not accept return.
