Arthur King was a self taught jewelry from NYC who came to specialize in lost wax cast gold jewelry in his trademark brutalist organic freeform style. Before moving uptown to open his store specializing in heavy gold jewelry for the extreme wealthy clientele, Arthur produced handmade wire wrapped jewelry that were each one of a kind. This is one of those pieces. His early work is extremely rare and sought after by collectors and museums alike. The condition of this is very good. There is one area where two of the wires might have been soldered together, but this does not affect the look or wearability of the necklace at all.
