Description: My mother purchased these 6 Vintage Karl Ens (unsigned) German porcelain yellow rose porcelain figurines in southern Germany in1950. They add a delicate beauty to a tablescape or a bookshelf. But here's the surprise: They are designed to serve as place card holders at a formal dining table, where they'll make your guests feel special and welcomed. But they can also be used to display name cards, dinner menus, food identification signage, photographs, souvenir ephemera, etc. They're perfect for displaying photos or souvenirs at a dinner party, class reunion, wedding, funeral, retirement birthday celebration! Crafted with high attention to detail, these mold-poured and hand-painted porcelain roses come as a set of 6, but contact me if you wish to purchase singly. Each rose measures 2.5" length x 1.5" x 1.75" wide. The 6 yellow roses are in excellent condition though one has a small chip on a petal. (Not noticeable; see final photo.) See all photos for best description. History: Porzellanfabrik (Porcelain work) Karl Ens was established in 1899 but it wasn't the first porcelain business of the Ens family. Karl Ens (senior) founded the original in 1860 as Triebner, Ens & Co. In 1899 he left that company, started the new business "Ens", which swiftly gained a reputation for high quality porcelain items. The founder had two sons, Karl and Eduard. Karl (junior) ran the factory from 1919 to 1939. In 1972 the company was nationalized and became a part of VEB Sitzendorfer Porzellanmanufaktur as VEB Unterglasurporzellanfabrik
