Description: This is a "STROMBERG-CARLSON" metal wall phone mounted on a wood backboard with a metal shelf. There is a Directory hook between the arms of the shelf. Inside of the metal box is like a double layer and you'll see how they "cut-out" areas so the ringer and condenser could fit. (you'll have to look). The mouthpiece has a chip, but it is original like all the other components. I'm sure this original arrangement (the writing shelfand the backboard) cost the customer at least another $5 extra (maybe another $40 in todays money!) *************************************************************
