Description: SUPER SWEEP SERIES "RETRO" MONOBLOCK TUBE AMPLIFIERS These 30 watt monoblocks will yield 60 watts of total glorious stereo tube amplification. Input/phase inverter tube is the 7AF7. Leaves Dyna's 7199, 6GH8/6U8 miniature types in the dust. Intermediate stage is the 7N7. Basically a 6SN7 in loctal form yet for less $$. The final output tubes are 19BG6G horz. sweepers (think 807 tube but with an 8 pin octal base). This is the 19 volt variant of the 6BG6 tube. This 6BG6 variant is the sweep tube version of the 6L6 tube. Seriously flying under the radar, this variant even has the black plates! Special filament transformers make this output stage a reality. Now you can enjoy this wonderful PP amplifier without spending serious $$ on the "holy grail" of 6L6s - the NOS black plates!!These monoblocks have that distinct 6L6 low end that is indicative of this power tetrode. Not only in the low end response but Bill Frisell's guitar in the midrange has that "6L6 chime" that is yet another characteristic of this tube type that others fail to replicate!The bypassed cathode resistors are a composite of specific types - not just one wirewound resistor. Bypass capacitors are a combination of Elna Silmic II and film/foil types to help reveal micro details in the final sonic picture. In triode mode the sonic soundscape is well balanced with the correct orchestral timbres.Organ pedals are reproduced faithfully and with authority. A specific point that many SETs fail to accomplish due to power limitations along with utilizing a smaller transformer footprint. Switchable UL / Triode modes offer flexibility when listening to different music genres. Extraordinare Mingus jazz in UL mode will get your feet tappin' for sure!!The output transformers are EDCORS w/8 ohm secondary. Quality passives include Holco, AB, Bourns, Resista, Toyo films, REL-CAP, Phillips/Mullard/Mustard(60s), WIMA FP film/foil, Beyschlag, polypro bypasses on power supply electrolytics. Completed this spring, these amplifiers have been performing without issue. With that said there are no extended warranties expressed or implied concerning above mentioned units.
