You could put it on a smaller rod as well but would just have extra space in the rod pocket. The white main body of the valance is 100% cotton, and the sage green lower edge is 100% linen. Between these 2 fabrics is a beautiful row of white hemstitching! This is a Target Home brand with a 2001-dated package. It is brand-new and never removed from the package except for me to unsnap the flap and partially slide it out without unfolding or removing it so you can see the fabric detail. This is a very clean and classic look for a single window up to about 36" or so if you want gathering. Fabric is machine washable. Smoke-free and new.
