Tedlar Air/Gas Sampling Bag Polypropylene/PTFE/SS Fitting Valve

Description: WE ARE THE MANUFACTURE: CEL Scientific gas sampling bags are made of DuPont's 2mil Tedlar® PVF film. Tedlar® PVF film is tough, durable, and considered chemically inert to a wide range of compounds. Bags of Tedlar® film can be used for indoor air sampling, hazardous waste sites, leaking underground storage tanks, stack sampling, soil gas sampling, gas blending, calibration test standards, and most other gas sampling needs. All of our stock bags feature an eyelet and our patent-pending single 2-in-1 fittings that combine the valve and septum into one. We offer polypropylene, stainless steel, or PTFE fittings, contact us for custom sizes. Our Tedlar bags utilize a patent pending 2-in-1 fitting. By combining a shut-off valve and Teflon-lined septum, you are able to fill the bag and remove the sample for analysis with one fitting. The stem is used to connect 1/8" ID tubing for filling and emptying the bag. The septum can be used for removing the sample using a syringe. Fittings are available in polypropylene, stainless steel, and Teflon. Bag Size: 0.5 L: 5'' x 9''1 L: 7'' x 9''3 L: 13'' x 9''5 L: 16'' x 10''10 L: 14.5'' x 18'' Guidelines: Store Tedlar bags in a clean area away from potential contamination sources. Tedlar bags are designed for use at atmospheric pressure. Over pressurization (>2 psi) can cause the bags to burst. Always ensure the bag, fitting, and tubing materials are appropriate for the compounds being sampled. CEL Scientific does not recommend reusing Tedlar bags in most cases. To fill the bag: Connect the appropriate tubing (1/8" ID) from a sampling source to the stem on the side of the fitting. Open the valve by holding the stem and turning the top portion of the fitting counterclockwise one turn. When the bag is full (approx. 90% capacity), close the valve by holding the stem and turning the top portion of the fitting clockwise until it is finger tight. To withdraw the sample using a syringe: Insert the needle into the red septum on the top of the fitting. Withdraw the sample and remove the needle, the septum will reseal itself. (Do not allow the needle to pierce the Tedlar film on the back side of the bag)
