Description: This is a vintage 1960s Teisco Spectrum 5 with a Metallic Blue finish. Perhaps best known for their high output of affordable and quirky guitars, Japan's Teisco, in the mid-60s, stepped into the "pro" domain with their grandest offering to date: the Spectrum 5. Teisco didn't abandon its unique aesthetic with this one. Named for its colorful switching system, the Spectrum has 5 preset pickup combinations that range from dark to bright in tone. Its clever split-single-coil pickup design allows for the mix and match between bass-side and treble-side coils. Additionally, its switchable stereo output can be used to route these two sides to two different amps. Its body is a solid piece of mahogany, with a Mosrite-like German carve, 6-ply binding, and finished in nitrocellulose lacquer. Its neck feels incredible: slender and comfortably tapered. It has 22 frets, a zero fret, and is topped with a beautifully ribboned rosewood board adorned with cool "parachute" inlays. It has serious personality and looks awesome with its aged finish and lacquer checking. Its round headstock badge is missing and its vibrato arm and neck strap button have been replaced. It's in great shape though, with expected nicks and dings, and cracks in spots of its binding. It feels impressively good to play and sounds fantastic. It weighs It has been professionally setup and comes with a hardshell case. Please feel free to ask any questions or call us for an in-hand description!DIVISION STREET GUITARSPEEKSKILL, NY
