The G-8 has a long focal length just like 3-element lens. It's a well-balanced lens that falls between the 3-element(divergence) and G-2(power). "G-8" lenses with the lens recessed in the tube that are available from other sellers clip the edges of the laser beam which will greatly reduce output power. Be certain you are getting the The REAL G-8 Lens! This is an excellent upgrade for many engraving machines including Ortur, Eleksmaker, Neje and many more! Don't be fooled by other sellers passing off inferior lenses as the G-8. Buy from a trusted source for all your diode laser needs.
