Description: Tinder Box- Billiard "Virgin Verona" Tobacco Pipe-By Mauro Armellini Up for sale is a beautiful vintage tobacco pipe in overall good pre-owned condition from Tinder Box in Italy. Features a straight stem in a Billiard style with a Tradizione finish. The Tinder Box Verona was produced in limited quantities by Mauro Armellini in the craggy mountains of Northern Italy. He started in pipe craftsmanship in the early 1960s, working at the famous Italian pipe factory "Rossi". Years later with the Rossi factory shut its door, Armellini moved to Savinelli where he stood out immediately. He worked for Savinelli for several years and then decided to create his own workshop and make pipes under his own name. Pipe is numbered on the bottom, but it is hard to make out, "809" or so. Chamber is in lightly smoked condition with no noticeable caking, only very light teeth chatter visible.
