It is also the first vehicle designed by Tobu Railway after the war. On the streamlined front with an impressive large double window, three decorative belts that complement the circular head mark were attached, and it was nicknamed "cat beard". In consideration of the division and merger of Shimoimaichi, a total of 12 cars were manufactured, including the 5710 series with a through door on the front and the 5720 series with a right-angle cardan drive, but the period as a signboard train exclusively for limited express was limited.
