They were introduced to the market just one year after Acushnet (Titleist) purchased GolfCraft in 1969 to get into the space. If you are not familiar with the Golfcraft Company, it produced top-of-the-line forged clubs under a number of brands dating back to the 1940s.In fact, in 1966, three years before Acushnet purchased it, the Wall Street Journal called Golfcraft the largest golf club manufacturing company in the world. Beyond its own brands, it sold blank heads to some other manufacturers to do final finishing and shaping.
