Description: (ad written June 2017, revised AUG 29, 2020) Schwinn Classic Mountain Bike** 19 or 20 inch Frame , Trail / City Bike MOSTLY Rebuilt 2016 by GBOL , Longtime rebuilder of Traditional Pedal bicycles Recomended heights for males 5-7 to 6-1 or females 1 inch shorter!! Very Nice Heavy Duty City Bicycle Steel Frame, Aluminum Rims. Probably a Late 1970's or early 1980s Schwinn! MOSTLY original, but few parts like deraileur, pedals, shifters may be later add ons. This is a very well made Bicycle, has had a few owners, but not too many miles. I would call this about a 19 or 20 inch frame size ( mesaurement C-C of seat tube) ANY MEASUREMENTS i Can make for you if you call me!! Overall luster very nice, few surface scuffs do exist, but very little rusting!! Appears to be all original,not too much riding in the last 40 years most likely. Wheels standard of 26" pictured with 26 x 2.125 older tires here( sides alittle dry, but hold well!). I rebuild bikes a lot and almost entirely mechanically rebuilt this fabulously sturdy bicycle(2016) Purchased this bicycle about 2009 from Eldery owner, I always kept indoors. Mechanical Rebuilding done to older bikes, if nothing else, is a matter of changing 40 year old grease! In the course imperfections to internals are almost always found. When sellers do not mention this, they are either very generous folks, or do not know better because once you open these machines up, there is almost always something to be improved, cleaning the hubs/cones/grease IF nothing else. always using Grade 25 or better balls. The goal is to bring back to new or better function/durability. I try make this better than new, not just a cool looking vintage bike. If you ONLY just want to stumble you back to 1980, this may not be for you. This bicycle can smoothly sail you to 2040! If you want a wall hanging ,call me i will send you a clean polished slightly bent frame for much less money! This bike was cleaned in 2016, when it was rebuilt, and may only have a bit of dust since then, very few miles. Only test ride it once a year a few miles in good weather. OPTION: Will Doing a cleaning, Waxing and for $20 more! Or else you may prefer to have the honors! OPTION : Accesories such as basket, kickstand, bells, new saddle/grips, new tires, are optional , These tires are old, but they hold ok! If i were to ride this alot, i would probably put new tires, and change the saddle. but i will leave that to the new owner, i always stock basic city by Kenda or Panaracer, Schwalbe, 26x1.5 and mtn 26 x 2, and comfort slowpokes, 26x2.125, and some higher end Mtn tires too. They are OPTIONS at 32 to 120 dollars per set i can thrown them in the box or install them, your choice. Will arrive to you needing minor assembly. will be boxed properly w. spacers and padding for tubes. Please allow 3 to 8 days for proper packing and mailing as i travel half the week usually.
