Description: ITEM WAS PURCHASED AT AN ESTATE SALE WITH NO HISTORY GIVEN; The three items were together (I disassembled them for photos) and I do NOT know age of band and helmet (no markings on either). I am NOT an expert on Military Items, PLEASE USE YOUR OWN EXPERTISE. This is what I have learned from the internet and via inspecting the items. Helmet cover is dated 4-2-59 and the contract number 8415-261-6833 was utilized in the 1960s and 70s. The cover has two flap repairs that can be viewed in the photos. The tag shows USMC and the pattern is the Mitchell. The band is named on both sides see photos. The band has a count shown in photos (I do not know meaning). The helmet has no markings and is in very good condition see photos. Please look at ALL photos, if you need more photos email me. Thanks for looking.
