Description: Wonderful vintage KIGU colorful powder compact. This lovely compact is nearly 3” in diameter and nearly 1/2” deep. It has a particularly interesting design in pink, white, black and gold with sprays of pink, white and green flowers, reminiscent of a Klimt art deco painting, in my opinion. This pretty compact is in good condition for its age. It is very well made. KIGU was founded by Gustav Kiaschek of Budapest, Hungary. His father was a master goldsmith. Gustav crafted very high quality powder compacts. The interior is in remarkable condition. The mirror is clean with no damage. The bottom has a sliding lock that holds the lid to the powder compartment firmly in place. The powder is still intact, as is the powder pat. The only damage on this piece is surface discoloration on the exterior metal in the usual places…..around the edges and on the back. The open/close push-button lock works perfectly. Any display items pictured are not included. I request payment within two days of purchase and will ship within two days of payment via USPS First Class mail.
