Extension on the left shoulder showing the tower of the Chieti cathedral. Like always the instrument has been completely checked by our luthiers and by our violin player on playability. It received new set up with new ebony pegs, new ebony tailpiece & chinrest, a new bridge, new soundpost and new strings. These are new German silver wound steel core strings with good projection, easy to play while allowing rapid finger performance. We use these strings on mostly all of our violins to allow a comparison of the tonality of each instrument in the videos. In any case a new owner should consider higher quality strings of own personal preference to enhance the full tonal character of this violin!Very rare old collector's violin in immediate playing condition!
