These very rare Silver, twin compartmented Vesta cases, produced by the famous Victorian Silversmith duo, Charles Rawlins and William Summers of London are very sought after by collectors around the world. This silver Vesta case and Cheroot Cutter combination is rectangular in shape with two hinged compartments and a ribbed striking surface on the side. The hinged lids to each compartment are both in great shape, moving smoothly with a good fit. The interior of each compartment and lid carries the Silver Hallmarks for Charles Rawlings & William Summers, London 1857. The outer casing has lovely engine turned decoration and engraved initials within a circular cartouche. A fantastic Vesta case combination (very rare) to hang from an Albert or chain, or is just the right size and shape to fit nicely in a pocket. A great gift for any collector or those who appreciate a good cigar.
