(At the time, it was Czechoslovakia.) This decanter measures approximately 10.5 inches tall and 4.2 inches in top diameter. IT IS IN EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION!! No chips or cracks! EGERMANN Background: The Egermann company is a highly specialized hand decorated glass manufacturer. It’s products have utility, are very decorative and have a high art-oriented character. The unique products from the incomparable series Egermann, are both beautiful and functional and each is a true work of art. Mr. Frederick Egermann, (1777 to 1864), was from Novy Bor, Czechoslovakia, and was the inventor of the decorating technology. The dark ruby red coloring on the glass surface is decorated by baroque patterns using cutting and engraving.
