Description: Up for sale is a hard to find vintage 1932 pin celebrating the bicentennial of the birth of George Washington. I was only able to find a record of one of these online in a collectors website. Purchased a small collection of similar items in Maryland, not far from Washington DC where this was manufactured. Back is signed A. Blustein, which I believe is for Abraham Blustein who was a wholesale jeweler operating out of DC. Blustein was Polish and after immigrating to the US in 1913, he served in the first World War after which he ran his own jewelry store, which was sold in 1950. I was not able to find many examples of his work online. As Is as found condition. I did not attempt to clean. Has dark areas and tarnish on the front , see photos. Some surface wear and scratching. Quite small. Leas than 1 inch long. Pin works. Mechanism is a bit crooked. Back has wear and surface discoloration. In all of my listings, I include at least one photo that shows the item next to a ruler. I strongly urge you to look at this closely to make sure you have a good feel for how big or small the item actually is. Items are packed carefully to make sure they arrive to you safely.
