Description: This 1956? United States road map was issued by the Standard-Vacuum Oil Company. The date code on the map is “154W” but the date on the archival envelope is Sept. 12, 1956. This map is in excellent original condition as shown in the photo and came from the General Drafting Map Company archives. The stamp on the front cover “PERMANENT FILE” was put there by the General Drafting Company since this map is from their archival files. I was fortunate to locate and buy several boxes of archival maps from the General Drafting Map Company after they were bought out by Langenscheidt and absorbed into the American Map Company. There is a wide variety of maps types and all are like new. Over the next few years, I will be offering many of these here on eBay.Shipping within the United States will be by First Class Postage.
