Description: Very rare Alfred Dunhill chess set featuring Chinese royal court pieces made in Hong Kong in the late 1960s. The white pieces are made of brass, and the black pieces are made of copper with a dark, sealed patina (these are very unusual, as the Dunhill dark pieces in these sets were usually made of pewter). The pieces range in size from 1 3/4" tall to just over 3" tall and weigh from 1.4 oz to 5.8 oz (the entire set weighs a hefty 7 lbs 6 oz!). Great set for the collector or gift for the avid player.
