Description: What you are viewing is Rare collection of photographs, negatives, slides, and transparencies of the 1960’s Travels of famed magician / Puppeteer,John Shirley, and Famed Vaudeville Performer, Joey Adam’s as they performed throughout India, China, parts Africa such as Morocco,Vietnam, and more. Included in the lot are 463 snapshots, 139 slides and transparencies, 28 packets of negatives, one full book of 100 35mm negatives with test sheet positives, one packet of 16 individual negatives, 2 35mm negative strips in box, and one unrelated box of slides that were with the collection. Also included in the lot is a signed 1st edition of “On the Road for Uncle Sam”, by Joey Adams that was wrote about the vary experiences collected in these images, and eventually was responsible for a falling out between these two great performers. All pieces are in amazing condition, and display wonderfully. All photos, and most of the slides are housed in safe sheets in a binder for their protection. If you do not know who these famed masters of the stage are, I highly recommend looking them up, it’s a worth while story to say the least. I believe it’s possible some of the pieces from Vietnam may relate to the USO shows, but am unsure, but the period is correct.
