Description: This is wonderful vintage fabric by designer Alfred Shaheen. This fabric was made in the 1970s so that people could use Shaheen's designs to make their own dresses. The fabric was originally sold along side an accompanying pattern for a shift dress. (Pattern is not included in this listing). It measures 45" in length and 53" across. The fabric is lovely with a slightly textured background, light to medium weight and appears to be cotton or linen. The colors are very rich looking with black, rusts and some metallic gold and with gorgeous butterfly graphics. This panel has two butterfly designs on it printed side by side. It is in excellent clean condition. This would make an excellent shift dress, pillow, or could be framed or stretched to be displayed as an art piece. There are some small defects in the print due to the texture of the fabric but these are not very noticeable.
