Description: This auction is for a complete original 1970's Aspen branded P-bass style neck (only). This was purchased many years at an estate auction 15 years ago as a project. It was missing some parts, which were hard to find, so I just put it away. I'm picking through these projects and letting them go to the eBay community. I parted the bass out, as I see it to be more desirable as parts than as a whole bass. This is a 1970's Aspen branded precision style bass neck. It looks to be a mix of maple and basswood as the grain dictates with a rosewood fretboard, (see pics). The bass was well played, and the neck has a few minor dings, scratches and chipping as shown. The neck measures 29 3/4" total length. The distance from the base of the nut to the end of the neck is 22 3/8". The nut is chipped on the low E string. Although it is chipped, it still retained the low E string without popping out. I would still replace it though. The neck comes with the original tuners (which are fully functional), the truss rod cover and the string guide. There is oxidation to the truss rod cover and string guide, (see pics). With that said, it is a collectable original complete 1970's Aspen branded/Japanese made precision style bass neck. I will be listing everything else soon.
