Description: This Vintage Artisan-Built Rustic Red Cedar Chest is from the 1960s. It features a unique boat shape with bent wood slats, giving it curved ends. There is a woven rope handle at each end. It has a rainbow trout imprint on the lid and is suitable for storing blankets, sports gear, and more. Made of solid cedar with some veneer and it has a maximum weight capacity of 75 lbs. This chest is American Country rustic style with a red and blonde color scheme and handles on each end. I'm speculating that this was built in the Texas Hill Country by German immigrants around the late 1960s. It has a light water stain in one corner, which could be removed. (See photo.)
