This is a vintage 1956 edition published by Grosset & Dunlap as part of The Big League Baseball Library. The binding is square and tight and immaculate throughout. The oatmeal cloth boards are spotless and the brown lettering and decor on both the front board and spine is near pristine in condition. The original brown topstain is still very evident on the upper page block as shown. The deckled edges are a nice touch that this publisher rarely used. The dust jacket has a few issues yet it remains quite nice. It has been price clipped. The three pics of the reverse of the jacket shows evidence of a long ago spill which has transferred to the front and rear panels also as shown. There is remnants of a price sticker that was removed on the front panel in the upper left corner. The remaining photos show some lighter general wear from handling over time.
