Description: 70s Vintage H Bar C Pearl Snap Western Shirt Denim Navy White Pin Stripe Sz 16 / 34. 100% cotton, no stretch, in outstanding vintage condition, no flaws to note. Measures flat 23 x 33" with 20" in shoulders across and 35" in arms, measured mid-collar to cuff. 16" neck. Bar C had it's beginnings in 1897 with Samuel Christenfeld who made English riding apparel in Brooklyn, New York. He partnered with M. Halpern in 1906 and they called the company Halpern and Christenfeld which later became H Bar C. In the beginning their western apparel was mainly pants and coats. In the 40's they expanded to selling western shirts. Co-op'd with Rockmount Ranch Wear to have their first shirts made and his is why early H Bar C shirts are very similar to those Rockmounts.
