Description: Up for sale is 安重 yasushige nata. Weight is approximately 210g Engraved 安重 Yasushige, it is old Japanese company name of katana. Japanese sword . It dates 1700 early, still making scissors, kitchen knives etc even now with traditional methods of katana making. It is very rare company , but this is not seen in the shop now. Originally damaged, lot of stain, dirt, but I removed them and sharpened for use. It is very beautiful and not so hard steel. I think it is very similar feeling of use as tamahagane steel. Not cheap steel , I can imagine it in a short time. Nata , it is a knife for outdoor field, in mountain, gardening. I sharpened, up to cut paper, but stopped. May be good if you try to continue sharpening depending on your use. Very beautiful steel., great knife.
