Description: LIONEL O-Gauge No. 282R Gantry Crane Vintage Lionel 282R GANTRY CRANE MODEL R from 1956. This is the Variation B and has the redesigned hoist engagement gearing and worm gearing. This is the mechanical assembly as shown and described in Greenberg’s Repair Manual page 420. All electrical enabled features operate as intended including crane boom rotation left and right, hoist lift up and down, and magnification. See video for demonstration. This accessory was removed from an enthusiast’s layout – the controller is an ATLAS brand slide switch, a conversion made for all of his accessory controls. It has a full 42” wire harness from bottom of crane structure to controller. Connection instructions included. The gantry inner (hidden) screw bosses have broken off of the inner plastic – although the gantry holds the apparatus just fine. It’s an easy repair or replace it (readily available on EBay and other sources) – we are selling as-is. The black cab snaps into the base as designed.
