Description: Lu Ray Pastels (commonly known as just Lu-Ray) was manufactured by Taylor, Smith and Taylor from 1938 to 1954. Named after the Luray Caverns in Virgina, these gently tinted dishes were designed as an alternative to the "Fiesta" dinnerware craze of the 1930's. Pieces are marked with the back stamp "TS&T Lu-Ray Pastels". Also included were the month and year which provides the exact age of the piece. Offered are Parisian Creme (Yellow) 6.38" Bread & Butter plates. All plates are in good condition. No chips or cracks*. Minor crazing and utensil marks. * One plate has a small chip on the underside, not visible for top. It will be discounted $1.50 at sale.I am offering numerous pieces in various colors.
