Vintage Mattel Loving You Barbie Doll Head 1980 Barbie Superstar Face

Description: In this listing we have a really nice Barbie doll head. I believe this doll head is from Loving You Barbie from the 1980s. This Barbie doll is super pretty. She has long golden blonde hair that has been restyled in the high ponytail she originally came with, a light tan skin tone, large blue eyes, and red colored lips. This doll head was made in the Philippines. My pictures came out a little saturated, the colors are a bit more muted in person. This doll head is in good shape. It has been played with and has some issues. The doll’s hair is in fair shape. It has been brushed and is free from tangles. It does have a lot of broken strands in the hair. You can see them at the base of the ponytail and going through the rest of the hair. The ends of the doll’s hair feels slightly frizzy. It’s not as smooth feeling as the rest of the hair. The doll’s hair is a bit thin around the hairline. You can see the doll’s scalp and under rows of hair through the top layer of hair. I’m not sure if this is from play or they just rooted the hair thinly. On the right side of the hairline on the forehead there is a gap in the rooting. The ends of the hair are a bit choppy, but I think that’s original. The doll’s face does have a slight textured look to the vinyl. It’s all over the head, but you can see the textured look showing through the paint. This is pretty common for dolls of this era. The doll’s face paint looks good. The eyebrows are a little uneven. There is some minor wear and lightening to the tails on both brows. The eyes look good. When looking closely at them you can see some small paint flaws in the eyes. They’re not bad, just not painted perfectly. The doll’s lips are in good shape. They are on the thinner side, but I think that’s intentional. The teeth paint is in good shape. It’s a little thin in some spots and the lip paint is sightly visible through the teeth paint. On the top left there is a small spot where the red paint is showing instead of the teeth paint. The doll does have earring holes, but no longer has earrings. There is some excess vinyl in the earring holes. The doll’s neck rim is in good shape without any obvious issues. Please examine all pictures to see the exact condition of this doll head and please keep in mind some issues are more visible in person compared to pictures.
