However if one insists on doing so, the size stated inside the hat is clearly marked 57 or 7-1/8. Please keep in mind antique hats tend to shrink and may not be the actual size marked inside the hat anymore. This hat measures 21-1/2" inches around the inside sweatband. Measure your head size before purchasing please!!! The cap's visor is warped from the humidity of being used on the high seas and the name "MacArthur" is marked on the inside lining.
