vintage old kraftsman K142 electric guitar

Description: Vintage and beautiful all original (besides added strap peg) and rare Copper Old Kraftsman K142 Stratotone style- these were also made exactly the same with the Kay brand...Brazilian rosewood neck and bridge. Super fat neck! Equipped with Kay’s Kanti-lever* neck adjust system. The checking on this guitar is beautiful!! Almost a work of art. The electronics all work as they should. The neck pickup was recently professionally re-wound and sounds great. The guitar has low action and is adjustable. Plays nice and easy up and down the neck. Pick guard is a little warped, but in good condition considering it’s age.. The fretboard shows minimal wear and the Pearl lid block inlays are in great condition and have not shrunk. The original concentric pots each have time and volume for their respective pickup. Kluson tuners of the era and in excellent condition have been installed and fit perfectly. The original tuners will be included however the knobs have shrunk and discolored over the years. The pot dates could not be easily read, but I’m convinced this model was made between 1954 and 1957.. this unique piece of R & R history comes with a chipboard case. Note…. This guitar was a one owner guitar and came from the small collection of an US Army veteran who served with Elvis Presley, according to his daughter… did inspire this veteran’s 50’s guitar collection and love for music?? Fun fact to ponder! Expertly packed and insured for safe shipping. Overall length is 37 1/4 inch…. 12 inch wide at lower bout, and 1 3/4 inch in depth. Scale length is 25 3/4, width of nut is 1 3/4 Note… I have not attempted to adjust the Kanti-Lever neck system. (There is no need to adjust the neck and string action is real good) my understanding is that these vintage neck adjust systems are better left alone unless these is a need to adjust them… Sold "As-Described"?
