Description: This Phantom rod is not made by Pflueger. Pflueger also made a rod in the 50’s they called Phantom. This rod was produced by Phantom Products, Inc. Shakespeare, a subsidiary of Pflueger Co. bought out Phantom Products in 1968. This particular rod was made in the late 1940’s to the early 1050’s. The condition of this rod is considered very good. I cleaned the rod and handle, applied fiberglass preservative on the blank and U-40 Cork Seal on the handle. The cork is in very good condition. The aluminum reel seat is also in very good condition. On the seat is the word “Phantom.” There is the original decal on the blank but some of the words are unreadable. You can make out the word “Phantom” & “Phantom Products,” and the word “Pat.”
