I recently acquired a collection of prints that have been de accessed from the DeCordova Museum in Lincoln Massachusetts. It is an incredible collection of museum quality works that would make a great addition to any print collection. This is one of my favorites of all that I purchased. For those not familiar with Richard Lytle I have included his biography below. This is a stunning large abstracted view of a person what looks like hanging out near a bridge with the water flowing in the background. Image measures 17 3/4 x 14 5/8 inches. Signed,dated, titled and numbered in pencil below the image. A wonderful rich impression in perfect as printed condition. Archival matte and frame are complimentary and ready to hang. On the bottom of the frame is a lucite label that indicate that this work was exhibited at the museum. On the back of the frame is the original label from the museum as well. Frame measures 29 1/4 x 25 1/2 inches. Do your own research on this print. His works dont often come to market. Dont miss this incredible museum quality print For those not familiar with the artist his biography from Yale University reads: "Richard Lytle studied at the Cooper Union School of Art and at the Yale University School of Art, where he received a B.F.A. in 1957 and an M.F.A. in 1960. He was an assistant in instruction to Josef Albers in 1956 for color and in 1957 for basic drawing. He was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to Florence, Italy, in 1958 and was included in the Museum of Modern Art exhibition Sixteen Americans in 1959. In 1985 Mr. Lytle received the Augustus Saint-Gaudens Award from the Cooper Union School of Art. His work has been exhibited nationally and in Europe, and his paintings are in many public and corporate collections including those of the Museum of Modern Art, the National Museum of Art, and the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Mr. Lytle began teaching at Yale in 1960, was dean of the Silvermine College of Art from 1963 to 1965, and returned to the Yale faculty in 1966. Mr. Lytle was acting dean of the School of Art in 1980-81 and in the spring terms of 1990 and 1994. He was appointed professor of art in 1981 and named the William Leffingwell Professor of Painting in 1999. He is currently professor emeritus at Yale School of Art."
