Description: new spinner 3/8" Stainless Steel Cap/Acorn Nuts for Vintage CWC Springer Forks & Shelby Truss Rods This Auction is for 2 Stainless Steel Cap / Acorn Nuts for CWC ( Cleveland Welding Company ) Springer forks and Shelby Springers forks and Truss Rods. These were used as the Top Dress Nuts on Most All Springers and Struts that have 3/8" x 24 tpi round rods. Vintage Cleveland Welding ( CWC ) Springer forks were used on CWC built bikes like: Hawthorne, Hiawatha, Roadmaster, and Western Flyer. The top 2 struts on a CWC Springer Fork use these nuts. Shelby Triple Action Springer forks and most Shelby Struts also use these. Shelby also made many other brand bicycles with there truss rods including Hiawatha. The Shelby Truss Rods use 1 nut per truss rod for a total of 2. The Nuts are 3/8" x 24 tpi Fine thread Stainless Steel Cap Nuts with a 5/8" drive head similar to originals. This Stainless Hardware is higher Quality that Original Hardware, So Why not Regular or Cad then? Simply this is Better hardware and it has a subdued finish that blends with the look of an Antique bike better than New, Cad, or Zinc hardware. We use Stainless on all our Lux Low Full Restoration Bicycles. If You want a Clean Antique Look and Performance this hardware is for you.
