I spoke with Ken Null about this design and he pointed out the 4 layers of leather making up the paddle on this design. Comfortable, and very concealable.. Our solution to the "European beltless slacks" problem. The Plate Scabbard is also the ideal concealment unit for situations in which the wearing of a bathing suit is required. The PLS is most comfortable because the "plate" is quite pliable and will mould itself to the contour of your hip after one or two wearings.
