Description: The fine item you are considering is a Vintage Teisco Japan Electric Guitar Natural Finish Needs Work. This cool vintage 1960’s Teisco (unbranded) guitar will need some work, as it will need new strings and the nut is cracked so it will also need a new nut. There’s also a tight hairline crack on the headstock in the grain running to one of the tuners, but it looks like it’s been there a very long time and isn’t going anywhere. The electronics seem t be working, but I’m not sure how the switches are supposed to work. When I throw the lower switch, it cuts off all the audio coming from the guitar. When I throw the top switch, I think I may be able to barely hear a change in sound but I could be imagining it. Since I don’t know how these switches are supposed to work, I can’t tell if both pickups are working but at least one certainly is. The volume and tone pots are working but are a bit scratchy from age. The action is good so once the nut issue is squared away and some new strings are put on, she’ll be good to go (again, can’t tell if both pickups are working). The guitar comes with a vintage soft case as shown. Please see my photos to have a look at this nice item.
