Violin 4/4 Copy of Antonius Stradivarius made in Cecho- Slowakia

MADE IN CECHO-SLOWAKIA COPY OF ANTONIUS STRADIVARIUS 4/4 VIOLIN - REPAIR/RESTORE You are viewing a made in Cecho-Slowakia Copy Of Antonius Stradivarius 4/4 violin. I am unsure of the exact age, I did find a label like this one on a cello that sold for 8000.00 and they said in 1922 the V in Czechoslowakia changed to W this important factor helps to date this instrument. I found some information that says this violin was made between 1919 and 1925 or possibly 1938 and 1945. Since that is the only 2 time periods a hyphen was used between Czecho and Slovakia. The length tip to tip measures 23 1/2" overall, the lower bout is approx: 7 15/16" wide, the upper bout is 6 1/2" wide. This violin appears to be in good condition for its age, The tuning pegs seem to be in good working condition, the peg holes were drilled out to fit these style of tuners so traditional ebony pegs will not work if the buyer wants to change them back, The bridge looks like it works well. It has only 1 fine tuner, the tail piece and the tail piece hanger and chin rest looks to be in good condition. Over all I would say the violin looks to be in VERY good condition, could use a new set of strings and set up to the buyers specs. it does not come with a bow only what is seen in the pics. The case is vintage and will be used for shipping purposes only, please consider the case as Free, it does help to protect the instrument and only 2 out 3 latches work.
