Description: VIRGINIA ARTILLERY COMPANY, POWDER HORN 1st CONTENTENTAL ARTILLERY, 1776/80 This VERY RARE Virginia pistol powder horn was owned & used by Lieutenant John Blair who served in Harrison's Virginia Artillery Company & in the1st Continental Artillery Regiment. He served from March 19, 1776 when the Virginia Artillery Company was raised at Williamsburg, Virginia & served to August 18, 1780 when he was killed defending his cannons at the Battle of Camden, South Carolina. This powder horn is 6 5/8” long with a 1 VA crudely carve It is in good condition without any cracks, gouges or rot. ...
