This bracelet can be seen in Monet's 1969 catalog (catalog page and newspaper advertisement provided in photos). The bracelet is marked "MONET" and "PAT 2515817" on the underside metal. That patent, invented by Karl C. Augenstein and filed by Speidel Corporation in 1947, was approved in 1950. The piece did not test positive as Bakelite and I believe it to be White Lucite instead....a popular alternative at that time. The piece is in overall excellent condition with a little patina on the underside goldtone metal. I steam clean my jewelry prior to photographing.
