Description: Please review all pictures in detail and read the description carefully. I will NOT accept returns on this item as it is intended for repair and I cannot guarantee the capability of any of the watch’s functions beyond what I have described below. The watch is being sold “AS-IS” for repair. Please be prepared to have this watch professionally serviced and repaired in order to expect full functionality. This is a very rare Seiko 1972 “one-eyed panda” flyback chronograph. It features a 23 jewel 7018a automatic movement. The watch is “ticking” - meaning that when the automatic rotor is engaged (similar to making any automatic watch work by rotating the internal rotor), the balance wheel begins to oscillate and the watches hands move. I have been able to adjust the day/date, but not the time. Something might be wrong with this feature. I do not know how long the power reserve will last on this, nor do I know how much work needs to be done to restore this. The chronograph function will start when pushing the “A” button, but will stop around the 20-25 second mark. The reset “B” button will start the flyback feature, but it will not go back all the way without manually tripping the “B” button from inside the watch (by pressing the shaft back with a small pin or toothpick). The case and crystal have several scratches, which should be fixable by a qualified watch repair person.
