Description: This full set of 12vintage pull-down maps of the world by Denoyer-Geppert is a stunning addition to any collection. The map, originally printed in 1947, features a colorful and detailed representation of the world's geography. The maps are in their original form and have not been reproduced. The 12th map could be any one of the 48 US states upon request, while the other 11 maps are standard for all states. This one features South Dakota. All maps except one map are securely attached to the rack. One spot seems to be missing two pieces of hardware needed for the 11th map. The map on the bottom is resting on the bottom of the rack. I could only post 12 pictures but I have more detailed images upon request. The condition of these maps is very good considering age and use and the colors are still vibrant! The maps were printed using lithography and are mounted in an oak frame. It measures approximately 64”x25” closed and each map extends to 52” long when pulled down. This charming set of maps are perfect for collectors, history buffs, or anyone who appreciates the beauty and accuracy of antique maps.
