A sturdy, heavy-duty pair of garden snips with some character, this pruner locks closed by swivel of the toggle just below its wire spring, and opens with spring action. The one remaining blue-green vinyl-coated metal grip isn't scarred or ripped, but does show slight discoloration from use. The blade is sharp and closes and cuts well, and seller humbly suggests that anvil cutters are the way to go for being easy to sharpen and for making clean cuts. Note that while the chrome of this pair is generally bright and lustrous, the blade and aluminum anvil do show some discoloration and very minor nicks from biting into wires--very much an occupational hazard when using any pruners such as these! These cosmetic issues aside, pruner works easily, springs open smartly, is clean, and is not engraved or personalized in any way.
