VTG Unused 1970s Bucherer Swiss Watch 6976-DD Automatic Self Winding Day Date

Description: Vintage Bucherer Man’s Watch Bought in Lucerne in 1975, this auto-mechanical Swiss precision watch has never been worn. (I know this because my mother bought it for my sibling to coax him into wearing a watch. It didn’t work.) The brown-toned and stainless bordered watch comes in its original box and bag, with a sales-dated guarantee, Bucherer stores booklet, and a Bucherer of Switzerland souvenir spoon. The watch was recently taken into a watchmaker’s shop to be tested, and the shop owner was surprised by how accurate the timing remained after all these years. In a household move, the watch crystal had been cracked, and the watchmaker recommended replacing it with an acrylic crystal designed for a vintage Bucherer in order to avoid any damage to the watch face. The segmented etchings in between the numberless hours lend an ease to reading the time, and the watch displays the day and date. The stainless-steel back notes the watch is water-protected and antimagnetic and includes the model number 6976-DD. The watch measures 8.25” from one end of the band to the other, and the lugs length is 1.5.” The two-piece black leather strap is in excellent condition and it carries the Bucherer name stamped in gold.As with all vintage and pre-owned items, there may be slight imperfections or expected wear.
