It's a direct install and retrofit in Jetta and Golf MK4 with the 2 small plugs at the back. The black and brown plug. Usually they're found on the 1999.5 to 2001/2002 early MK4 models. It has the AUX option, and the USB option. The USB will appear on the screen once you plug something in it. It has the CD option, but you will have to be VERY SUPER GENTLE when inserting CD's in it, otherwise they won't go in. Seems to be the particularity of the model. IF YOU HAVE A 2003 TO 2005 MODEL, WITH ONE BIG SQUARE PLUG, IT WILL NOT BE A DIRECT INSTALL AND THERE WILL BE A LOT OF WIRING INVOLVED !
