Description: WELLER POTTERY SILVERTONE CALLA LILY VASE - Artist HESTER PILLSBURY Be the first on your block to be "caretaker" of this attractive calla lily vase, in the Silvertone style line.Executed by Hester Pillsbury, so marked by the HP on the bottom. It has been in my family since the 1950's.Bottom also shows the Weller full kiln stamp. Beautiful multi-colored finish, in purples - greens - brown - white - and cream to yellow accents.The calla lily is shown on both sides, full on front - partial on reverse. Beautiful colors, satin like sheen, great mold - likely "early off the run" in production.The only example I have seen with the Hester Pillsbury monogram. This vase stands to a height of 11 & 13/16ths inches.5 & 1/4 inches wide across the mouth.4 & 1/4 inches wide across the base.Weight: 2 pounds 10 ounces. There is NO damage - no chips, no cracks, no crazing.No dings or dents. No scratches or signs of use.NO repairs - rings true when tapped, all around - top & bottom.This vase has been blacklighted and acetoned. PLEASE LOOK AT ALL PHOTOS Hester Pillsbury (1858-1951) worked at both Roseville and Weller Pottery companies. She began her decorating journey at Weller in 1897 until about 1936. She excelled at slip decoration. Her artistic contributions spanned several decades, making her an influential figure in American ceramics. Her legacy lives on through her remarkable contributions to pottery decoration. Her work continues to captivate collectors, making her an enduring figure in the world of ceramics.
