Description: This listing is for two studio pottery pieces by William Mark Hewitt of North Carolina. The handled mug measures approximately 4 3/8" tall, and 3 3/8" in diameter at the base. It has the WMH mark and 71, and Aw. The initials AW are for apprentice Aaron Weaver. This mug is in very good condition with a couple of small rough spots or fleabites. The tumbler measures approximately 4 3/8" tall and 2 7/8" wide at the top. This has the WMH mark, the number 80, and the S mark for apprentice Seth Guzovsky. This piece has a shallow chip on the outer rim that measures just over half an inch wide. There is a closeup in the last picture. There are no other chips or cracks on this. Based on the dates the apprentices worked for Mark Hewitt, I think the mug was made between 200-2008, and the tumbler 2010-2012. They are beautiful pieces of excellent quality and craftsmanship. Please see my pictures, and thanks for looking! Fragile items are packaged securely and with care.
