Description: For sale is a vinyl record by Wings titled "London Town", originally released in 1978 by Capitol Records. I bought this record used, then professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This preserves the integrity of the vinyl and any insert(s) or original inner sleeve(s) that may have come with the release. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks are the matrix numbers Z-14/Z-14, followed by "Kendun JG", and an upper case "O", indicating that this first edition that was mastered at Kendun Recorders of Burbank, California, by John Golden, before early stampers were used to make this album at Capitol Records' pressing plant, located in Jacksonville, Illinois. These are hallmarks of state-of-the art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. The original inner sleeve is graded as Near Mint. The cover is graded as Very Good Plus because of ring wear, corner blunts, edge rubs and small stress cracks along the edges. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint, with surfaces that are shiny and black, in a like-new condition, without any sleeve marks, surface scratches or scuffs. I'm play grading this record as Near Mint Minus because of occasional low levels of surface noise, most noticeable between tracks and during the quietest sections of playback. It plays all the way through without any skips, pops or lock-ups from start to finish. It's been played on Audiophile equipment since I bought it and still has a lot of life yet.
