Description: Hello, For your consideration I'm offering a large two bladed limited edition Trapper pattern pocket knife made by the W. R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company Bradford, Pennsylvania. This knife is serial # 464. This knife measures 4 1/8 " in the closed position and features chip & crack free genuine bone. This knife has never been used carried or the blades resharpened. The blades are made of Case's famous high Carbon cutlery steel known for its ability to take a keen edge and its ease in resharpening. The blades have powerful opening and closing snap with no side-to-play while in the open position. This big knife has nickel silver bolsters brass pins and liners. Please see pictures for tang markings and condition. There are a few light age spots on the knife. The box also shows some wear. Thanks for looking and have a nice day. The blades in this knife are " NEW GRIND " type blades. This was the first year (1984) Case tried this. They only put the special blades in a few patterns. The 6254 being one of them. Case discontinued the new grind style blades a few short years later because the Case Collectors didn't like them. The purpose of the new grind blades the way I understood it was to make it easier to clean.
